Anthony is in charge of the overall creative direction and marketing for Campaign Seeds. He brings over 12 years of experience working with companies such as Sony, KB Homes, Sempra Energy; and political campaigns including Rand Paul, Campaign for Liberty, and John Dennis taking on Nancy Pelosi.
Anthony Astolfi started Stratis Interactive (“Stratis”) in the year 2000 located in the San Diego, CA area at the age of 16. Stratis was a web development firm focused on interactive Flash based web applications. The company mostly serviced technology and real estate firms, creating animated product demos for companies such as Sony and interactive in-office sales tool for companies such as Pardee Homes. Stratis consulted LJG Partners which is one of the largest digital development firms in Southern California, during this time they asked Anthony to join their team as lead developer of both programming and creative.
While working with LJG Partners Anthony was the integral to the success of many high profile projects. Initially he was tasked with recreating all of the interactive on Sony Pictures Entertainment’s online movie museum. He then worked with the San Diego Airport Authority on interactive sound mapping analysis and projections for the new Airport being planned. Soon after he was creating the website and content management system for the The Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel. The following year Hilton Corporate sponsored the Winter Olympics and Anthony worked with their team to create online promotions for the event.
After getting a taste of the corporate world Anthony decided to go back into business for himself and created an online marketing company.
It was towards the end of this period that he started using his previous skills to influence the political landscape. Anthony was responsible for two large rallies and a fundraiser in support of Ron Paul for President in 2008, Anthony was lucky enough to be able to introduce Dr. Paul before his speech at the event. Following this successful fundraising event Anthony was asked by the campaign to create a “Students for Ron Paul” website responsible for organizing the outreach and fundraising efforts of college age supporters of Dr. Paul’s candidacy.
When Dr. Paul dropped out of the Presidential race he decided to start Campaign for Liberty and hired Anthony to create the initial website, manage online marketing, and do initial fundraising. Fundraising was very successful with $100K+ being raised in the first weeks of launch largely in part to a “Money Bomb” for the orginization. Anthony then created the website for Ron Paul’s Rally for the Republic GOP counter convention, which sold thousands of tickets and promotional items for the event.
Next Anthony started Campaign Seeds to service the marketing and fundraising needs for politicians & activists and PEACPAC, a political action committee, to draft candidates to run for office. Campaign Seeds’ first project was to create an online news network for CAIVN (California Independent Voter Network), in order to help CAIVN influence the electoral process in California. CAIVN used this tool successfully to influence the electorate to vote the way they wanted winning two ballot measures. During this project PEAC PAC launched campaigns to draft Peter Schiff to run for U.S. Senate in Connecticut and Rand Paul to run for U.S. Senate in Kentucky. The PAC created websites, shirts, stickers, radio advertising, online advertising, etc. in order to build awareness of the candidates and encourage them to run. The climax of this effort was a money bomb raising over $30K for the effort online in less than 24 hours. Both candidates decided to run within 3 weeks after this fundraiser and Rand Paul hired Campaign Seeds to create his initial website and online marketing push to garner the money needed to start his campaign. $100K was raised to give the campaign a boost and Rand Paul is now a United States Senator representing the State of Kentucky.
Using the political capital garnered from these successes Anthony lead a team of four developers to launch RETeaparty.com the very night Rick Santelli gave his famous rant and ignited grass roots activists across the United States. The website was an overnight success and received over 10,000 unique visitors on the first day. Reteaparty was featured nationally on Fox News in the coming weeks. Soon after RE Teaparty was transformed into an organizational tool for Teaparty activists where they could sign up, get their own blog, events calendar and user management. This helped the first Tea Party activists setup their Tea Parties all across the United States. After the initial year the website was re-branded as a news and information outlet.
Next Campaign Seeds focused its efforts back on the state of California working with John Dennis in an effort to oust Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Campaign Seeds was in charge of branding, online outreach and online fundraising. Campaign Sees successfully guided the underdog John Dennis to a blow-out win over his primary opponent. At Anthony's direction, Campaign Seeds helped raise over $1,000,000 for the campaign, saw over 265,000 unique visitors to the website, over a million YouTube views, and over 50,000 fans on Facebook.
